BUILDING FUNDRAISING CAPACITY

Nonprofits need access to resources to better achieve their mission. By partnering with Bonterra’s Jumpstart Network for Good and EveryAction program, we’re co-investing in a program to assist nonprofits in leveraging technology to resource their missions.

NPLI and Bonterra collaborate to provide a grant program so nonprofits can participate in Jumpstart at significant savings. Small to mid-size nonprofits use the all-in-one fundraising platform to manage and communicate with donors. This immersive year-long program matches nonprofits with a personal fundraising coach and assists with development planning to help nonprofits establish, diversify and increase individual fundraising revenues.

Jumpstart provides each participant with a comprehensive technology platform to manage and deploy a fundraising strategy. Based on your nonprofit’s unique needs, you may choose between the following platforms:

Network for Good:

An all-in-one fundraising platform, including donor management, integrated online giving campaigns, communication tools, reporting, and more.

EveryAction:

A complete fundraising solution designed to grow with nonprofits by providing a robust toolset including grants, membership, and volunteer management, multi-channel automation, planned giving, and advocacy.

In addition to grant funding, Nonprofit Leadership Initiative supports participants by providing monthly user group sessions to answer questions and enhance peer learning.

In 2018 the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative partnered with Network for Good to provide grant funding to nonprofits for one year of participation in the Jumpstart program. Due to the program’s success, it was an easy decision to continue the capacity-building program and award up to five grants annually to nonprofits within NPLI’s service region.

Applicants complete an assessment form to ensure they are ready, willing and able to participate. Grantees attend a 1:1 information session to ensure program requirements are understood and accepted. Program requirements include: demonstrated history of individual fundraising; a commitment to dedicate five or more hours to consistent fundraising; and using the Network for Good software to raise money more effectively.

The one-year program is an opportunity to pilot the software and work with a certified fundraising coach to become a better fundraiser. Grantees are under no obligation to continue using the software or contract with their fundraising coach after the first year of participation. Nonprofit Leadership Initiative’s Jumpstart grantees have experienced a great deal of fundraising success.

Program Cost:

Grant funding covers most of the software and fundraising coach expense, however, nonprofits are required to invest in their fundraising program.

Network for Good: First-year expense of $600 with remaining $4,400 covered by NPLI grant. After year one, licensing and coaching are paid for by the nonprofit. Year two is $200 per month for licensing only; continued coaching would be at an additional cost. Pricing for year three is calculated depending on the number of contacts.

EveryAction: Potential grant amount, nonprofit cost-share and year-two costs will be dependent on unique nonprofit needs. Please connect with us at [email protected] to schedule a demo of EveryAction, and discuss functionality.

“Network for Good is a chance to raise your game as an organization. I would encourage any nonprofit to try the software and coaching. We’ve raised five times our prior year year-end campaign amount in our first year of using Network for Good.”

“I sent out my first email blast yesterday through Network for Good and it was so easy. I used the template to put the email together and it was very user friendly. If I had questions on how to do something then I referred to Network for Good’s Help feature and utilized their View Guides and Help Articles. I was able to schedule my email to be delivered at 8:00 am and by 8:05 am I was already receiving email responses. I’ll definitely be using this on a more regular basis.”
