Leadership Forum: Build Long-Term Financial Stability

Registration from 7:30 – 8:00 am / Program from 8:00 am to 10:30 am
Location: Fox Valley Technical College, Bordini Center, Room 112A, 5 Systems Dr, Appleton, WI

This is a collaborative event in partnership with the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative and the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.

This free session covers two engaging topics:

1) Stewardship and Recognition: Building Strong Relationships with Your Long-Term Donors
Donor stewardship is often overlooked as the essential element of building long-term donor relationships and building strong deferred giving programs. To truly be successful, stewardship must be a way of life and part of the culture of an organization. Whether you are responsible for managing the development team, or are a member of that team, you will get insight into how to effectively build a stewardship program or get a checklist to review your program if it is already in place.

2) How to Become an Expert in the Conversation of Philanthropy (or Endowment)
One of the greatest challenges for nonprofit staff and boards is talking to donors about their charitable goals in a way that is comfortable and moves the donor towards his or her ultimate gift. In this session you’ll understanding how to identify your best prospects for gift planning conversations, learn how to engage donors to discuss their charitable visions, learn to translate what you hear into gift opportunities, and gain insight into the value of ongoing conversation and stewardship.
